POSITION SUMMARY
The role encompasses the following:
- To manage the Project Department and be involved in the project management, deliverables and documentations for projects/contract secured by the Sales Department.
- To manage costs and meeting of sales budget dedicated by the GM for respective project manhours and material costs versus budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and deliver end-to-end project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Review contracts and purchase orders to clarify scope, obligations, and deliverables prior to project commencement.
- Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOM), production orders, and project documentation before kick-off meetings.
- Produce and coordinate engineering documentation, including drawings, diagrams, manuals, data sheets, reports, and compliance records, ensuring timely submission to clients.
- Work closely with Design, Production, Procurement, and Sales teams to generate workshop drawings (GA, P&ID, electrical) and confirm technical specifications.
- Verify correct sizing and selection of engineering components, ensuring system integrity when design changes occur.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, Master Production Schedule (MPS), Gantt charts, and delivery timelines, ensuring cross-departmental alignment.
- Lead project kick-off meetings and manage project deliverables through to installation and handover.
- Monitor procurement lead times, coordinate with suppliers, and proactively manage schedule or specification changes with internal teams and clients.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site meetings as required, ensuring quality standards and accurate project records.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work quality, cost control, and compliance with project requirements.
- Perform project cost control using SAP, monitor expenditures, report deviations, and liaise with Sales and Management on budget adjustments.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or others relevant.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in project management.
- Experience/knowledge in water treatment will be prioritized.
