POSITION OVERVIEW
The client organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager / Project Director (depending on experience level) to lead and oversee large-scale building and construction projects, which could potentially include data centers, healthcare facilities, institutional buildings, industrial complexes, and mission-critical infrastructure.
The successful candidate will provide overall leadership in planning, execution, safety management, technical coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder management to ensure successful project delivery in accordance with the client's quality and operational standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Leadership & Management
- Lead the full project lifecycle from planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning to handover.
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans, including method statements, risk assessments, schedules, and resource plans.
- Manage consultants, subcontractors, site teams, and specialist vendors to ensure alignment with project goals.
2. Planning, Scheduling & Progress Control
- Establish and maintain detailed project schedules (e.g., using Primavera P6 or MS Project).
- Monitor site progress, track milestones, and implement recovery plans when required.
- Drive coordination with design consultants to ensure timely approval of drawings, material submissions, and shop drawings.
3. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with MOM, BCA, SCDF, NEA, PUB and other regulatory requirements.
- Champion the client organization's safety culture and ensure WSH standards are deeply embedded.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes, including inspections, method statement reviews, and testing protocols.
4. Contract, Commercial & Budget Management
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, procurement strategies, and contractual deliverables.
- Oversee variations, claims, and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Work closely with the commercial/contracts team to ensure high accuracy in cost forecasting and project financial health.
5. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Build strong relationships with key partners and ensure excellent communication and timely reporting.
- Lead progress meetings, prepare management reports, and ensure transparent communication across stakeholders.
6. Technical Coordination
- Coordinate structural, architectural, M&E, and specialist systems integration especially critical for data centres (MEP-heavy, mission-critical systems) or hospitals (complex compliance and medical systems).
- Review technical submissions, value engineering proposals, and ensure buildability considerations are integrated early.
7. Team Development & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams including engineers, site managers, coordinators, and technical staff.
- Foster an environment of high performance, collaboration, safety, and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (for MEP-heavy projects), or equivalent recognised by BCA/PEB.
Experience
- Project Manager: Minimum 7 12 years relevant experience in building construction.
- Senior Project Manager: Minimum 10 15 years experience, including leadership of large-scale projects.
- Project Director: Over 18 25 years experience managing mega-projects or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven track record delivering data centers, hospitals, industrial buildings, large commercial, or institutional projects in Singapore preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations (BCA, SCDF, WSH Act, local codes).
- Experience in complex MEP integration (essential for data centres & healthcare).
- Proficiency in project management tools: Primavera P6, MS Project, BIM/VDC platforms, and standard construction management software.
