Position Overview
Sam Lain Equipment Services Pte Ltd is seeking aresults-driven and experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver civilengineering and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will beresponsible for full project lifecycle management - from planning andcoordination to execution and completion - ensuring projects are delivered ontime, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and safety requirementsin Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead and manage civil engineering and infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project work schedules, method statements, and resource planning.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures where required.
- Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.
Site & Construction Management
- Supervise site operations and coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
- Oversee construction activities including structural, drainage, sewerage, utility, and associated civil works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Review contracts, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, and variation claims.
- Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify work progress payments.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities on contractual matters.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact between client, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Attend site meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
- Ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of technical and operational issues.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and project records.
- Ensure all works comply with local regulatory authorities and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Preferably recognized by PE Board
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in civil/infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, sewerage, drainage, or utility projects.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and authority submission processes.
- Experience in managing project teams and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight project timelines.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in airport, sewerage, tunneling, or large infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with PUB, LTA, BCA, and other authority requirements.
- Strong cost control and contract administration experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects with high safety and quality standards.
