The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing low to mid rise buildings, landed housing (especially bungalows), government tenders, and a track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary site teams. You'll work closely with engineers, quantity surveyors, and site supervisors to ensure all project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in accordance with our company's quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of residential and/or government construction projects.

  • Coordinate resources and workflows from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Manage and guide project teams including site engineers, quantity surveyors (QS), site supervisors, and administrative support.
  • Foster collaboration across internal departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Set clear deliverables and expectations for team members.

3. Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Identify, liaise with, and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings to track milestones and ensure subcontractors meet agreed deliverables.
  • Ensure all site instructions, technical queries, and subcontractor deliverables are addressed promptly.

4. Tendering & Documentation

  • Lead and coordinate preparation and submission of government tenders and procurement documents.
  • Work with consultants and QS to ensure cost effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with government procurement processes.
  • Monitor tender clarifications and post-submission processes.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, regulatory standards, and safety requirements.
  • Support quality control inspections and coordinate with relevant authorities for required approvals and inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site issues and technical problems effectively.

6. Project Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor project costs and budget against actuals.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Use project management tools to maintain clear documentation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with hands-on project management experience.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing landed residential projects such as bungalows.
  • Familiarity and experience with government tendering processes is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Candidates from construction firms, developers, or civil agencies are welcome.
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and work well under pressure.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
  • Career progression pathway within a growing and supportive team.
  • A culture of autonomy and trust - we empower our Project Managers to take ownership of their work.
  • Opportunities to work on high-profile projects with meaningful impact.
