SAP Project Manager – Banking
1-Year Renewable Contract | Singapore
We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to support a major banking transformation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing SAP implementation and migration initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP-related projects within the banking environment.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Drive SAP ECC6 migration / transformation projects, coordinating across business and technical workstreams.
- Manage project planning, governance, status reporting, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
- Work closely with Finance, Technology, Operations, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead and coordinate RFP activities, including requirements definition, vendor evaluation, proposal assessment, commercial discussions, and vendor selection.
- Manage third-party vendors and system integrators throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate testing, data migration, cutover, implementation, and post-go-live activities.
- Identify project risks and issues proactively and drive resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the bank's governance, risk, security, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Strong experience as an SAP Project Manager, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Prior hands-on project management experience involving SAP ECC6 migration is required.
- Experience managing RFP / vendor selection processes for large-scale technology or SAP projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP implementation and migration project lifecycles.
- Experience managing system integrators, technology vendors, and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong project governance, risk management, budgeting, and delivery management skills.
- Able to independently drive projects and manage senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
- Experience with large-scale SAP transformation or ERP programmes.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation programmes would be advantageous.
- Experience working within complex, highly regulated enterprise environments.
