RESPONSIBILITIES
The project manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects for broadcast related systems according to strict deadlines and within budget. The role will manage resources and coordinate with members from various business units, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery. The role will also oversee and review the resiliency of the newsroom operations workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute projects from start to finish, including developing project plans, defining project scope, and creating schedules.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and according to quality standards.
- Manage resources and coordinate with members from various business units, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management
- Facilitate project meetings and manage project team members to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities.
- Conduct project reviews and develop recommendations for improving project delivery processes.
- Provide direction and support to project team members.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Engage various business units within the newsroom and company to oversee and maintain the business continuity workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as project management, business administration, or engineering
- At least 5-7 years of experience managing complex projects.
- Relevant broadcast industry experience is preferred.
- Project management certification, such as PMP or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Work with different business units to provide technical solutions to enhance existing operation and setup.
