Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Operations Manager to manage civil and mechanical water and wastewater treatment projects, including full site execution, engineering coordination, and project delivery.
The role requires strong capability in technical design understanding, site supervision, documentation, procurement, and project management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end civil and mechanical water treatment projects
- Oversee site execution including installation, erection, testing, and commissioning
- Supervise piping works, mechanical systems, pumps, blowers, and rotating equipment
- Review and support civil structural calculations and design verification
- Interpret and manage engineering drawings, P&ID, and technical specifications
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Conduct and lead site meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings
- Handle project bidding, tendering, and quotation preparation
- Work with SAP systems for project planning, procurement, budgeting, and reporting
- Support BIM model viewing and coordination (basic understanding required)
- Conduct site assessments, inspections, and technical evaluations
- Ensure proper document control including ISO compliance, SOPs, and project records
- Prepare project reports, case studies, and client presentations
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Manage project scheduling, cost control, and risk management
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, and internal teams for smooth execution
Requirements:
- Experience in civil + mechanical construction projects (water treatment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of structural calculations and civil engineering principles
- Ability to understand and manage P&ID, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience in piping systems, mechanical installation, and site supervision
- Strong exposure to project coordination and team management
- Experience in tendering, bidding, and procurement processes
- Knowledge of SAP or ERP project management systems
- Basic understanding of BIM viewing and coordination tools
- Experience in site assessment, inspection, and reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Diploma / Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field
Preferred Experience:
- Water & wastewater treatment plant projects
- EPC / industrial construction environment
- Strong exposure to commissioning and site execution
- Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering coordination (civil + mechanical + piping)
