RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from business case and procurement to implementation, change management, and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Oversee project planning, budget, timeline, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with organisational governance and procurement processes.
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including various training units, IT, Finance, Procurement, and vendor partners.
- Manage vendor and implementation partner relationships, ensuring contractual deliverables, SLAs, and milestones are achieved.
- Drive risk and issue management, project reporting, and communication to senior management and project steering committees.
- Work with business process owners to ensure requirements are accurately captured, prioritised, and implemented.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection, and system governance policies.
- Oversee testing, user acceptance, data migration, and training activities.
- Support change management efforts to facilitate user adoption and smooth transition to the new system.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification will be advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT or digital project management, with proven experience managing SaaS or enterprise system implementations (preferably in education, training, or public-sector environments).
- Strong knowledge of project governance, vendor management, and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with system integration to SMU systems such as finance, HR, student information system, alumni information system, faculty information system, learning management platforms as well as external and 3rd party systems.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
