Job Summary
Lead and manage MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) projects in Taiwan through design, submission, and execution phases, ensuring technical compliance, client satisfaction, and timely delivery for prestigious clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination among mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation designers and the wider project team to ensure integrated MEICA design delivery.
- Review and challenge MEICA designs to ensure buildability, operability, maintainability, and value engineering while meeting client and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage design schedules, budgets, and interfaces across disciplines to ensure timely delivery of design packages.
- Oversee preparation and submission of technical and contractual documents including drawings, calculations, specifications, method statements, and test & commissioning plans to clients and authorities.
- Manage responses to RFIs, design queries, and client/consultant comments, resolving issues and ensuring timely resubmissions.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and HSSE teams to ensure documentation complies with contractual and regulatory standards, including safety studies and operating manuals.
- Plan and manage MEICA construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, equipment delivery, and installation to meet project milestones.
- Monitor progress, budget, risks, and quality across all MEICA packages, producing regular progress and commercial reports for clients and senior management.
- Lead or significantly influence MEICA commissioning and handover, ensuring systems are tested, performance-verified, and documented in line with client expectations.
- Serve as the primary MEICA contact for clients, local consultants, and regulators, maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
- Ensure compliance with Taiwanese building codes, electrical safety standards, and client-specific standards.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and stakeholder management to uphold client and employer reputation.
- Communicate effectively in Chinese (Traditional/Simplified) with clients and in English with vendors to facilitate project execution.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of experience in EPC projects, power plant erection, or wastewater treatment management.
- Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering disciplines.
