The Marketplace team maintains services that empower the core e-commerce business of Shopee. Its scope spans across buyer and seller facing features, covering the entire journey from account registration to order fulfillment. As one of the most critical pillars of the Shopee ecosystem, the Marketplace team owns systems that serve hundreds of millions of users across the globe, and handle millions of transactions on a daily basis. Being built with modern architecture and in a distributed environment, these mission-critical services receive high traffic, require high performance, and deliver high impact to the business. As the owner of these services, we constantly work on solving challenging problems to deliver a better and smoother shopping experience to customers worldwide.
Job Description
- Create and maintain project plans that are aligned with business expectations
- Constantly identify and report project risks to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure Shopee products across iOS, Android apps, websites and backend systems are delivered against assigned deadlines and standards
- Be the operational heart of a cross-functional team of developers, designers, quality assurance engineers and product managers, setting the pace and proactively establishing efficient processes
- Constantly improve communications and resource allocation methods to ensure high productivity and quality as the team scales and product gets more complex
- Optimise process, balancing between speed and scalability, and continuously improving the efficiency of the current processes
Requirements
- A resourceful problem solver with a strong sense of ownership
- Highly effective in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Result-oriented and is proactive
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Strong interest in software development and project management
- Basic understanding of project management principles (experience or coursework is a plus)
