Requirements:
. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma Civil Engineering, Construction Management or any related field.
. At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
. Meticulous with good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
. Must have experience with landed homes
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop and manage project timelines and schedules.
- Resource Management: Allocate manpower, materials, and budget to ensure timely project delivery.
- Oversee construction activities and progress, planning, implementing and monitoring work schedules in accordance with master work schedules and established budgets and ensuring delivery of quality work that meets contractual requirements
- Oversee quality control on site and together with the safety team, ensure Environmental, Health and Safety practices are carried out effectively by all parties (internal & external) working on site
- Understand and interpret drawings and specifications, and check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications and established budgets
- Liaise with all internal and external parties involved in the project
- Liaise with consultants on technical issues, and handle and resolve any technical and engineering problems that may arise
- Identify potential project risks and address issues proactively.
- Provide guidance to supervisors relating to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained, site inspections are carried out and technical and other site issues are resolved on time
- Supervise, manage and coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure quality of work and scope of work is within specifications and established budgets
- Manage and coordinate with purchasing department and various suppliers for timely purchase of materials & supplies (e.g. rebar, metal, aluminium and glass) to site, delivery checking and verification to execute contract works and ensure no delays or gaps in schedule
- Inspect sites to monitor job progress and assess and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction standards
- Ensure proper site coordination, including verifying that the correct and latest approved plans are in use at site, the property is constructed in accordance with approved drawings, and all design or plan changes are accurately translated and implemented on site.
- Ensure successful completion of projects and proper documentation for handover.
- Ensure proper safety measures are implemented at all times, and all workers on site are equipped with and wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
