Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with experience in landed residential projects (Terrace, Semi-D, Bungalow). The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional capable of managing project execution from ground-breaking to handover, with a strong focus on site coordination, budget control, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Manage the construction process for landed residential projects, ensuring compliance with schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Site & Team Coordination: Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Support and guide junior project engineers and coordinators.
- Budget Control: Assist in managing project costs, evaluate progress claims, control variations, and optimize resource utilisation.
- Schedule Management: Develop and track project schedules using MS Project, identify potential risks (e.g., weather delays, material shortages), and implement corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants. Facilitate communication and resolve site issues promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications. Enforce safety protocols in compliance with local regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with Qualified Persons (Architect/Engineer) to ensure works align with approved plans and authority requirements. Support inspection and approval processes with BCA.
- Problem Solving: Address unforeseen site challenges (e.g., soil conditions, structural discrepancies) with practical solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare progress reports, site meeting minutes, and handover documentation for management and clients.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of construction experience, with at least 3-5 years focused specifically on landed residential projects. (Experience with high-rise condos or hotels will NOT be considered.)
- Skills: Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and project management software. Good knowledge of local building regulations and safety standards for landed properties.
- Personal Attributes: Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and make sound on-site decisions.
