Project Manager (IT Security & Compliance)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the security, compliance, and operational management of government digital services and mobile applications delivered via outsourced vendor partnerships. This role blends cybersecurity expertise, vendor management, and financial oversight to ensure secure, compliant, and cost-effective digital service delivery.

• Job Type: Contract (Renewable)
• Salary Package: Up to $9,000 (basic) +AWS

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Incident Management

• Plan and execute IT initiatives, including system upgrades, feature enhancements, and platform transitions.

• Collaborate with outsourced vendors to manage daily operations effectively.

• Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, documentation, and resolution tracking.

• Ensure timely incident resolution in line with defined SLAs and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Security Management

• Coordinate comprehensive security assessment programs, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, source code reviews, and risk assessments.

• Maintain cybersecurity scorecards and ensure digital services meet required security standards.

• Lead incident response and recovery activities to minimize service disruption.

• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and implement appropriate countermeasures.

Vendor Management & Performance Monitoring

• Conduct monthly vendor performance reviews against contractual obligations and KPIs.

• Manage vendor access controls and security clearances.

• Oversee vendor lifecycle from onboarding to contract renewal or termination.

Financial Oversight

• Track project budgets and monitor financial performance across digital service contracts.

• Verify billing accuracy and invoice compliance to ensure value for money.

• Provide regular financial reporting and budget forecasting to senior management.

Compliance & Audit

• Support internal and external audit activities to ensure compliance with government standards.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance purposes.

• Coordinate audit responses and implement corrective actions.

Administrative Support

• Assist with relevant administrative tasks to support team operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years experience supporting internet-facing applications.

• Strong understanding of government IT security frameworks and compliance requirements.

• Experience in vendor management and contract oversight.

• Knowledge of financial management and budget tracking processes.

• 8+ years working experience preferred 2 years government experience advantageous.

Essential Skills:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and audit activities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work under pressure during security incidents.

• Basic understanding of security and web service vulnerabilities.
