Job Description

The (Senior) Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex, multi-vendor telecommunications projects on time and within scope. This role demands strong technical oversight, stakeholder coordination, and expediting skills to ensure successful implementation across SDLC phases. The successful candidate's designation and scope will be determined based on experience, track record, and demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely commissioning of turn-key telecom solutions.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors/customers for seamless delivery.
  • Apply expediting techniques to accelerate timelines and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Kanban, MS Timeline) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid models) is preferred.

Technical Oversight

  • Oversee software development and IT management activities.
  • Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  • Apply SDLC best practices across planning, execution, and testing phases.

Governance & Risk

  • Monitor scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification tools.
  • Escalate risks and issues to management with mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and audit readiness.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively.
  • Motivate cross-functional teams toward shared goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in telecom project management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Experience managing multi-vendor integration projects in the APAC region is highly preferred.
  • Professional certification in the respective areas is a plus.

Skills and Personality:

  • Proven ability to expedite project timelines through proactive coordination, scenario planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong analytical skills in root cause analysis, workflow mapping, and comparative evaluation of technical options.
  • Excellent customer/vendor-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience tracking delivery KPIs, customer satisfaction metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Highly motivated, result-oriented and dedicated person who initiates appropriate actions and strategies.
  • Independent and can work without constant direction and close supervision.
  • Capable of functioning effectively in hectic and fast-paced work environments.
  • Strong interest in keeping up-to-date with current technologies.
  • Ability to motivate other team members to work towards a common goal.
  • Willing to travel.
