Project Manager - Investment Operations Transformation (12-Month Contract)
We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to support strategic investment operations and transformation initiatives based in Singapore.
This role will work closely with Investment Operations, Technology, Compliance, and senior regional stakeholders across Asia to drive complex delivery programs within a regulated financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of investment operations, systems transformation, and business change initiatives
- Define project scope, timelines, resource plans, and delivery milestones
- Manage project risks, dependencies, governance, and change control processes
- Drive execution across multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Partner with senior business stakeholders across Investments, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance
- Coordinate with external vendors and regional delivery teams
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and provide concise executive-level reporting
- Translate complex project updates into clear business outcomes and delivery impacts
Governance & Financial Oversight
- Maintain strong project governance aligned to enterprise PMO standards
- Track budgets, resource utilisation, vendor deliverables, and delivery performance
- Ensure robust documentation of business requirements, operational readiness, and process workflows
Required Experience & Skills
Professional Experience
- Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Insurance Investments, or broader Financial Services
- Strong experience delivering Investment Operations or investment platform transformation projects
- Exposure to middle and back-office investment operations environments
- Experience working within highly regulated financial institutions
- Proven ability to deliver within consulting, contracting, or complex matrix organisations
Preferred Domain Expertise
- Experience with Portfolio Management Systems such as Aladdin or Charles River
- Knowledge of investment operations processes including trade lifecycle, portfolio accounting, reconciliations, custody, or regulatory reporting
- Exposure to regional or cross-border transformation initiatives across Asia
Technical & Methodology Skills
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- PMP and/or Prince2 certification preferred
- Proficiency with project governance and collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar platforms
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong executive presentation and reporting capability
- Hands-on, delivery-oriented approach with the ability to operate independently
- Mandarin language skills advantageous but not essential
