Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial laser and automation projects, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality while managing customer and internal stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to finalize the Statement of Work, defining project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria for custom laser and automation solutions
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Control project finances by tracking actual costs against budget, managing purchasing of key components, and reporting financial performance
- Identify, analyze, and document potential technical, supply chain, and schedule risks, and develop and implement mitigation plans
- Maintain continuous communication with customers to provide transparent status updates, manage scope changes, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead cross-functional project team meetings by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and resolving dependencies between engineering, manufacturing, and other departments
- Generate accurate and timely project status reports and escalate issues and variances to senior management as required
- Act as liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure clear understanding and execution of technical specifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to maintain quality and project objectives
- Manage project risks and issues by implementing corrective actions as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the laser industry
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Strong technical knowledge of laser systems and applications
- Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
