We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to lead and execute projects in industrial laser systems and complex automation machinery. The candidate will be the primary driver responsible for project delivery, ensuring all phases meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives while expertly managing customer and internal stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to finalize the Statement of Work, defining project objectives,
deliverables, and success criteria for custom laser and automation solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules
- Control project finances, track actual costs against budget, manage purchasing of key components, and
report on financial performance.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and document potential technical, supply chain, and schedule risks,
developing and implementing plans.
- Communication Management
- Maintain continuous communication with the customer, providing transparent status updates, managing
scope changes, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead cross-functional project team meetings, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and resolving
dependencies between engineering, manufacturing and any other departments.
- Generate accurate and timely project status reports, escalating issues and variances to senior management
as required.
Technical & Quality Assurance
- Act as the liaison between the customer and the internal teams, ensuring technical specifications are
clearly understood and executed.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/ mechanical, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the laser industry.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong technical knowledge of laser systems and applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for support, training, and sales activities. (50% of time)
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
