Role Purpose:
The Project Manager's role involves:
- Support of the Product Lifecycle by assisting in the definition, development, and maintenance of internal products and tools.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements by collaborating with business users and technical teams to create clear, actionable user stories.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between IT teams and various stakeholders.
- Manage product delivery by participating in Agile ceremonies, overseeing the product backlog, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
- Gather and analyze feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for product improvement.
- Contribute to the product roadmap by working with the product team and stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Acts as a bridge between architecture, delivery, and business stakeholders. Articulating clearly what the Integration is enabling for the business (e.g., shipment visibility, automation, data consistency across domains), not just milestones and documents.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL
- Lead and implement specific products related to DHL Express Data programs.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Focus on customer needs while managing DHL Express Data products and capabilities.
- Collaborate with regional and global functions to resolve service-impacting issues.
- Think creatively to provide compliant solutions when opportunities arise.
- Participate in strategy discussions and project boards to support initiative goals.
- Uphold standards around data protection, quality compliance, and operational requirements.
- Communicate project direction and progress to all stakeholders.
- Set up project organizations with support from Domain leadership.
- Manage business and project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Conduct user training and facilitate workshops to define project requirements.
- Provide training on DHL Express Data applications to relevant stakeholders.
- Assess project success through reviews and feedback.
- Delivers integrations as mission-critical services, embedding operation considerations: SLAs, support models, resiliency, high availability and disaster recovery-aligned to 24×7, globally distributed enterprise operations.
Do you have what it takes
- A university degree in business, project management, or information technology.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a technical product manager or in a similar role within a complex, multidisciplinary organization.
- Proven experience leading teams in development, testing, and deployment for medium to large-scale projects in initiatives involving APIs, REST/JSON services, SOAP web services, and legacy integrations. Demonstrates working knowledge of message formats (XML, JSON, CSV, flat/legacy formats) and understands end to end data flow, dependencies, and integration risks at scale.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
- Well-developed project management, prioritization, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability in documentation and report writing, with a track record of delivering complex solutions.
- Experience managing product/project budgets and conducting opportunity assessments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a multinational enterprise, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- In-depth knowledge of Express operations processes is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Power BI, and others related to project management and data protection.
- Highly motivated and proactive team player.
- Flexible in operating style and attitude.
- Diplomatic, tactful, and sensitive to cultural differences.
- Positive, customer-focused attitude with a commitment to results.
- Project Management Certification is a plus.
