Project Manager - Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, control, and completion of construction and renovation projects, ensuring that all works are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, statutory, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall in charge of project planning, coordination, and implementation from project award to completion
Manage project schedules, work programmes , and progress monitoring to meet contract timelines
Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and budget control
Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal management on project matters
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), quality, and environmental requirements
Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and technical proposals
Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures
Prepare and submit progress reports, claims, and project documentation
Attend site meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings
Requirements / Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum relevant experience in construction or renovation projects
Strong knowledge of construction practices, statutory requirements, and contract administration
Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight schedules
