Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

  • Lead and manage end-to-end F&B fit-out projects (concept to handover)
  • Develop project timeline, milestones and deliverables
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, landlords and authorities
  • Conduct regular site meetings and progress reporting
  • Ensure project delivery within timeline, budget and quality standards

2. Quantity Surveying & Cost Control

  • Prepare cost estimates, BOQ and tender documentation
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor quotations
  • Conduct cost comparison and value engineering
  • Track project budget and cash flow
  • Manage variation orders (VO), progress claims and final accounts

3. Construction & Site Management

  • Supervise site works and ensure compliance with approved drawings
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure quality control and workmanship standards
  • Oversee M&E coordination (plumbing, drainage, gas, kitchen exhaust, electrical load requirements)
  • Ensure site safety compliance with local regulations

4. Authority & Compliance (F&B Specific)

  • Coordinate with landlord technical requirements
  • Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g. BCA, SCDF, NEA, PUB where required)
  • Ensure compliance for grease trap, exhaust ducting, fire-rated works and drainage systems
  • Prepare submission documents where applicable

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as main point of contact for clients
  • Provide technical advice and practical solutions
  • Manage expectations and resolve on-site issues promptly

Requirements & Criteria

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction / interior fit-out
  • At least 3 years in F&B renovation / commercial projects preferred
  • Experience in food court, central kitchen, restaurant or kiosk projects is an advantage
  • Strong experience in cost control and QS functions
  • Hands-on site experience is required (not purely office-based)

Technical Skills

  • Able to interpret architectural, M&E and shop drawings
  • Strong knowledge of F&B operational requirements (water flow, grease management, kitchen layout)
  • Experience handling variation orders and contract administration
  • Familiar with project scheduling tools (MS Project or equivalent)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel for costing

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and coordination ability
  • Decisive, solution-oriented and able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills (English required)
  • Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors
  • Independent and accountable

Education Background

Diploma or Degree in:

  • Building / Construction Management
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Civil Engineering
  • Project Management
  • WSQ / Safety certifications (preferred)
  • BIM knowledge is a bonus

Preferred Profile (Ideal Candidate)

  • Experience handling $200k-$1M F&B fit-out projects
  • Strong cost control mindset
  • Comfortable working in fast-track renovation environments
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Practical, ground-oriented and detail-focused

Salary Package

  • Basic Salary: SGD $4,000 - $5,500 per month (commensurate with experience)
  • Annual Bonus: Based on company and individual performance
  • Transport Claim: Reimbursable for site visits (according to company policy)
  • Annual Leave: 14 days
  • Medical Benefits: Outpatient coverage (capped)
