Job Summary
Lead and coordinate project activities for rail E&M systems within the Singapore transit environment, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality installation, testing, and commissioning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Review project submissions including specifications, drawings, test procedures, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements and facilitate timely follow-up actions by the project team
- Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, integration testing, and defect resolution to ensure quality standards meet project specifications
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, interfacing contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes, ensuring alignment with project requirements
- Monitor and update project schedules, review progress, and report status to ensure adherence to project timelines
- Lead and participate in project-related, coordination, and interfacing meetings to maintain project delivery on track
- Support the project team in managing project-related tasks to achieve timely delivery according to project plans
- Adapt to flexible working hours including night shifts and engineering hours to meet project demands
- Travel regularly between office and project sites to oversee and support project execution
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Recognized diploma or degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, site installation, testing, and commissioning of rail E&M systems within the Singapore transit environment
- Experience coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders such as railway/transit operators for A&A, system upgrades, or new system implementations at revenue stations
- Experience in Automatic Fare Collection System upgrade, relocation, and system migration projects in transit environments is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM, or similar drawing tools to review design drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently
- Ability to cope with flexible working hours and perform night work as required
