Role Summary:
The Project Manager/Engineer is responsible for pre sales preparation such as tenders, compliances and submissions. The Senior engineer is also responsible for making the confirmed sales into product and meeting project/delivery schedules.
Main Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Responsibile to support/assist local, regional Salespersons / Country Managers for sales and marketing activities. Assist in providing proposals/compliances to regional/local customers together with local/regional Salespersons / Country Managers.
- Designs and proposes cost effective solutions for customers regionally and proposed new product development if necessary.
- Select & approved relevant 03rd party products for cost effective solutions in proposals for customers.
- To ensure orders are converted to sales by transfering proposals to the Engineering for execution and manufacturing.
- Manages project costing and ensures conformance to achieve the required material/gross margins.
- Understand the sales's objective and assist the Sales Director to achieve these objectives
- Assist in holding seminars/exhibition to promote new / exisiting products
- Train and guide new employees on product/design when required
- Provide market feedback to the sales director regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented.
Job Requirements:
- University degree or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in pre-sales / project management
- Experience in Datacenter applications as well as Telecommunications, marine/offshore, oil & gas, railway / metro infrastructure or power utilities
- Customer service oriented and strong in relationship buildinStrong project management skills
- Good negotiation skills, attention to details, follow up and administration skills
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
- Highly motivated and possess excellent team working skills
- Energetic and pro-active
- Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
- 30-40% business travel required.
