Job Summary
The Project Engineer / Project Manager (Electrical) leads the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and scheduling of electrical engineering projects from initiation through completion to achieve project objectives
- Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation plans, and timelines to optimize efficiency and cost control
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution
- Review and validate technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards
- Monitor project progress continuously, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project trajectory
- Conduct site inspections to resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases, ensuring quality and safety
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation and reports to facilitate effective communication and ensure proper project handover
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proficiency in project management software tools such as MS Project or Primavera
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive project teams and stakeholder engagement
