We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide Data Lineage and Data Governance programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise managing complex data transformation initiatives involving metadata management, lineage tracing, regulatory compliance, data cataloging, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
This role requires strong project delivery capabilities combined with a solid understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, governance frameworks, and lineage platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise Data Lineage initiatives across business and technology teams.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and delivery governance.
- Manage implementation of data lineage solutions across data warehouses, ETL pipelines, BI platforms, cloud environments, and analytics systems.
- Coordinate with Data Governance, Data Architecture, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams.
- Drive lineage discovery, metadata mapping, source-to-target tracing, and impact analysis activities.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to capture lineage requirements and critical data elements.
- Track project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans.
- Manage vendor coordination and third-party tool implementation where applicable.
- Oversee Agile/Scrum or hybrid project execution methodologies.
- Prepare executive-level status reports, steering committee updates, and KPI dashboards.
- Support data quality, data catalog, master data management, and governance initiatives related to lineage programs.
- Ensure successful user adoption, training, and change management activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Scrum Master certification.
- Over 10 years of experience in Project/Program Management within Data Management or Data Governance domains.
- Proven experience managing enterprise Data Lineage projects.

- Experience managing projects in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or SOX.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to Data Quality and MDM initiatives.
