Overview
Our client is a growing data centre infrastructure business delivering technically complex, large-scale projects across the region. They are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead the on-site delivery of prefabricated data centre solutions for a major Singapore project.
Role
Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will take ownership of end-to-end site delivery activities, from product arrival through installation, testing and commissioning. You will translate project and client requirements into practical delivery plans, ensuring site readiness, vendor mobilisation, resources, delivery scope and key milestones are effectively managed.
You will coordinate lifting, installation and multi-stage testing of prefabricated data centre products, while managing equipment vendors and subcontractors supporting commissioning activities from Cx Level 2 through to Level 5. You will participate in regular site meetings, monitor progress against programme requirements, identify delivery risks and coordinate timely resolution across internal teams, contractors, suppliers and the client.
The role will also involve supporting equipment unpacking and inspection, documenting any damage or non-conformances, and ensuring issues are reported and escalated appropriately. You will provide regular progress updates to the PMO and contribute to post-project reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a Singapore-based, site-focused role. Regular overseas travel is not expected.
Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 3-5 years of project delivery, site coordination or construction management experience within data centres, MEP, power, HVAC, ELV, large-scale infrastructure or prefabricated modular solutions.
You should have a sound understanding of the project lifecycle, from design and manufacturing through installation, testing and commissioning. Experience coordinating multiple vendors, subcontractors and client stakeholders in a live site environment is essential. Exposure to data centre commissioning activities, including Cx Level 2 to Level 5, will be highly advantageous.
Candidates should be confident using CAD tools for drawings and layouts, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. You will be organised, solutions-oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment. Strong English communication skills are required. Mandarin language capability will be advantageous for communication with China-based suppliers and internal stakeholders.
