Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Japan Headquarter, Agriculture BU leadership, overseas company management, and local stakeholders in driving alignment on priorities and escalating for timely decisions.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives for corporate functions, group finance, and business expansion in SEA, including defining objectives and success metrics, building business cases, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and tracking execution against milestones and timelines.
  • Plan and deliver feasibility studies and finance transformation initiatives (as assigned), including streamlining shareholding structures, reforming financing schemes, and supporting group network/organizational projects by providing clear recommendations, risk impact assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Coordinate end-to-end support for new business set-ups in overseas countries, partnering with BU project teams to manage timelines, governance requirements, financial inputs, and stakeholder approvals.
  • Drive regular reviews of subsidiaries financial performance and cash flow (with priority on entities showing impairment indicators), partnering with relevant finance teams to diagnose root causes, agree corrective action plans with management, and protect investment value.
  • Partner with Japan Agriculture BU and overseas company leadership on agriculture tractor business planning, including pricing strategy, sales planning, FX scheme alignment, segment P&L forecasting, and ongoing performance tracking with clear variance explanations.
  • Support Group Financing activities end-to-end, including set-up and process governance in ensuring compliance, timely execution, and complete/accurate documentation.
  • Annual renewal of banking arrangements and group company credit facilities, including preparing and submitting authorization applications in Japanese via the required approval system and ensuring on-time completion.
  • Maintain working relationships with Japanese banks and the Japanese desks of consulting firms to secure responsive support and ensure accurate information flow.
  • Lead capital injection processes in partnership with Headquarter Finance Division, including required approvals, documentation, and coordination with impacted overseas entities.
  • Coordinate with Headquarter and BU to clarify Annual Budget, Forecasting, and Mid-Term Plan policies translate requirements into clear guidance, templates, and an end-to-end preparation/monitoring schedule for overseas entities.
  • Collect, structure, and synthesize confidential corporate function matters from Group companies to enable clear understanding and smooth execution facilitate knowledge sharing among Headquarter, BU, and overseas companies with appropriate confidentiality controls.

  • Be cost conscious and aware of divisional contribution to company profitability.
  • Must be able to travel overseas if required.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor in Finance and Accounting or related field in Finance.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in finance strategic planning and management, including 5-years Finance and Accounting generalist experience.
  • Minimum 5-years experience in regional(Asia) HQ Finance and Accounting roles in multinational and matrix organizations, particularly Japanese MNCs. Experience with Asia countries particularly includes Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, India.
  • Experience in acquisition, spin out, redeployment, merger, culture transformation, a plus.
  • Experience in partnering with business unit leaders is desired.
  • Strong project management skill /experience.
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing or Machinery Industry will be an added advantage.
