Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Project Manager to coordinate and oversees the delivery of CRS projects in the Asia region. This role plays a key part for the business as it ensures that projects are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with customers quality standards.
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Head of Project Operations Australia to ensure consistency and alignment in operational practices. They will also work closely with CRS installation partners in Asia to ensure the appropriate project delivery.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate detailed design on assigned installation opportunities from sales handover to implementation and customer acceptance.
- Ensure installation operations on assigned work are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure CRS equipment and systems are supplied, installed and commissioned in accordance with customer specifications and CRS guidelines.
- Maintain profitability of assigned installation projects.
- Supervise time and activity planning of installation personnel on assigned opportunities.
- Provide leadership and motivate installation personnel in cooperation with other managers to achieve department objectives.
- Ensure safe and correct work practices.
- Coordinate design and implement solutions for application requirements.
- Oversee the installation of CRS solutions to ensure their effective operation.
- Coordinate efficient dispatch of installation technicians in response to customer requests.
- Manage all aspects of supply for product and installation services on major projects.
- Coordinate ordering and procurement of equipment, project sub contractors and suppliers.
- Monitoring expenditure and assist in reviewing supplier Invoices for payment.
- Ensure goodwill is maintained with customers during installation of new products, or during service on existing sites.
- Provide product application support for sales personnel to assist them in promotion of CRS products and systems.
- Maintain liaison with business development personnel and keep them up-to-date with developments, advising of new customer opportunities and complaints.
- Help in the identification of new business and the identification of new technologies and teaming partners.
- Advise management of service complaints and where necessary effect appropriate remedial action in consultation with management.
- Participate in the development of company policy, recommending product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
- Identify possible new growth opportunities for the business which CRS may not be currently addressing and provide this feedback to the business.
Self-Development Responsibilities
- Ensure that appropriate time is allocated to keep abreast of changes in the product offering of the CRS business as well as developing and new trends in the ICT industry.
- Keep abreast of latest developments in related OH&S and project management disciplines.
Role Requirements and Preferred Skills
- Above 5 years of experience. Ideally has proven installation or project management background either in the ICT industry or technology sector.
- Experienced in servicing Data Centre clients and their facilities is highly desirable. Whilst not essential this background would be an advantage.
- Qualifications in an appropriate Electrical trades/engineering discipline.
- Ability to simultaneously organise and control numerous potentially conflicting priorities.
- Excellent time management and priority planning awareness.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conceptual abilities with a good understanding of business operations and mature attitude to management.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills to all organisational levels.
- Ability to solve complex issues in a systematic manner.
- Ability to work in small team & adapt to the requirements of the business.
Travel requirement: Visit project sites and customer locations, which will involve international trips
