Project Manager (Capital Markets Technology Platform)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring solutions are implemented on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality expectations. The role involves managing project delivery from initiation through completion, while working closely with clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, governance, risk management, and client acceptance.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, resource allocation, deliverables, and project metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional teams comprising Project Management Office (PMO), Business Analysts, Stream Leads, client teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, resource utilisation, and overall project Profit and Loss (P&L)
  • Ensure alignment between client proposals, contracts, project scope, deliverables, milestones, and commercial terms.
  • Provide accurate project reporting, manage issue escalation, and address project risks or delays.
  • Support business development activities through project estimation, proposal reviews, client presentations, and pre-sales engagements.
  • Manage software delivery, including solution customisations and operating system or base application upgrades throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
  • Around 10 years of business experience, including 5+ years managing delivery projects on capital markets technology platforms.
  • Experience delivering full lifecycle implementations within a vendor or consulting environment.
  • Proven experience managing project planning, resourcing, budgeting, issue management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Experience working in multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, with certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 considered advantageous.
