Project Manager (BFSI Domain)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst Project Manager with strong experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The ideal candidate will bridge business objectives and analytical insights, managing data-driven projects end-to-end from requirements gathering and analysis to delivery, implementation, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

Lead and manage analytics or data-related projects within the BFSI domain (credit risk, fraud analytics, customer insights, etc.).

Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while managing resources and stakeholder expectations.

Coordinate across cross-functional teams data engineering, BI, product, and business units to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and progress reports.

Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and data security standards.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

Collect, clean, and analyse structured/unstructured data from multiple BFSI systems (core banking, CRM, risk management, etc.).

Perform statistical analysis and develop dashboards or reports to support decision-making.

Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.

Present data findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear, business focused manner.

3. Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary liaison between business teams and technical/data teams.

Understand business requirements and convert them into analytical or project deliverables.

Drive alignment among diverse stakeholders and ensure consistent communication.

4. Tools & Technology

Work with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.

Use SQL, Python, R, or Excel for data extraction and analysis.

Collaborate with data engineering teams using cloud/data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, etc.).

Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, AML, GDPR).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

510 years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or project management, preferably in BFSI.

Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, insurance, and/or financial products.

Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery using Agile or Waterfall methodologies. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification (preferred).

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in BFSI is a plus.
