- Managing and mitigating issues and risks throughout the project life-cycle, while expertly balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks through formal change management mechanisms
- Implementing and maintaining comprehensive project work plans, governance structures, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes
- Ensuring accurate development and traceability of project requirements, fostering an environment of continuous improvement
- Nurturing client relationships, communicating updates and securing buy-in, effectively representing Avanade in governance meetings
- Overseeing Avanade and subcontractor staff assigned to the project, guiding their performance and growth
- Determining project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedules, and ensuring effective training and resource utilization
- Assisting in the sales process by providing work effort and expense estimates using Avanade's standard tools
Qualifications
Skills and experiences - Profound understanding of contract terms and interpretation, coupled with excellent customer expectations management skills
- Proven experience employing key Project/Program Management disciplines, such as estimating, work planning, contract management, and scope management
- Proficiency in project management methods, tools, and techniques, complemented by a working knowledge of Microsoft platform technologies and In-depth expertise in Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server (TFS), enabling precise project tracking and control
- Good knowledge of Earned Value reporting to ensure project financial performance
- Results-oriented mindset, with a self-directed ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and drive positive change
- Customer-oriented attitude and outstanding interpersonal skills, along with strong people management abilities to lead and mentor team members
- While not required, having a Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification and a Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field will be advantageous. We value a combination of hands-on expertise and educational background to achieve excellence in our projects.
