Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and adaptable Project Manager to oversee two concurrent software projects:
- A turnkey software development project involving endtoend delivery of a new system.
- A maintenance and support project involving software change requests, preventive and corrective maintenance, and security patching.
The ideal candidate is able to balance between turnkey project execution and periodic maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Turnkey Software Development Project
- Lead end-to-end project execution, from requirements gathering and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and acceptance.
- Manage the project scope, timeline, budget and risks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to ensure alignment and feasibility.
- Prepare and present project status reports, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including secure coding, documentation, and quality control.
2. Maintenance & Support Project
- Manage the lifecycle of software change requests (CRs), ensuring assessment, prioritization, impact analysis, and execution.
- Oversee corrective maintenance (bug fixes, incident resolution) and preventive maintenance (software and security patching).
- Lead the security patching process, including vulnerability assessments, patch planning, deployment, and regression testing.
- Maintain service level agreements (SLAs), incident response timelines, and performance metrics.
- Work closely with support engineers and operations teams to ensure system stability and service continuity.
- Prepare periodic reports for update on system uptime / issues
Cross-Project Management Responsibilities
- Prioritize tasks across both projects to optimize resource allocation and minimize bottlenecks.
- Implement project governance processes, documentation standards, and risk mitigation plans.
- Facilitate technical discussions, solution reviews, and cross-team coordination.
- Track and escalate issues proactively to stakeholders and management.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, regulatory, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
- Proven experience managing software delivery throughout SDLC.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in PMP or Agile/Scrum.
- Technical proficiency in application architectures, cloud or on-prem environments, and security patching workflows.
- Experience in overseeing concurrent projects
- Familiar with running maintenance projects
- Hands-on experience in coordinating development teams (internal or vendor-based).
