Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of small to medium size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring projects are executed in compliance with ABB policies, contractual requirements, and project management best practices while maintaining high standards of HSE performance.
  • Monitoring and controlling project scope, schedule, resources, risks, and financial performance, including invoicing, costs, expenses, cash flow, and opportunity management.
  • Leading contract and claims management activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and securing Variation Orders for all scope changes and additional work.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain Management to procure required services, materials, and equipment, while supporting supplier negotiations, claims resolution, and project changes.
  • Serving as the primary customer interface and escalation point, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Driving successful project completion through lessons learned, formal customer acceptance, contract close-out, and project closure in accordance with contractual and organizational requirements.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or related engineering discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of project management experience, preferably in Automation, Electrification, Digital, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including project financials, cash flow management, budgeting, risk management, and contractual administration.
  • Proficiency in project management and enterprise systems, including Microsoft Project and SAP ERP.
  • Experience working within process industries such as Pulp & Paper, Metals, Cement, Mining, or other heavy industries across Southeast Asia is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with strong proficiency in spoken and written English and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, continuous learning, innovation, and flexibility to travel as required within the region.
