The Project Manager will play a critical role in managing cross functional projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of key initiatives.
This individual will oversee portfolio timelines across multiple team functions to lead cross-subject project milestones with effective stakeholder management and communication on statues while taking ownership to drive efficient solutions to keep alignment with planned scope, deliverables, and expectations.
This role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and experience in highly regulated or technology driven environments-ideally within financial markets, exchanges, clearing or SaaS platforms.
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within an organisation, focusing on both strategic and tactical aspects of project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, track, and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for multiple concurrent projects across streams.
- Coordinate and streamline collaboration between internal departments (Technology, Product, Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Legal, etc.).
- Ensure alignment between project requirements, resources, and deliverables.
- Responsible for planning, executing and monitoring projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Abaxx Exchange and external vendors, system integrators, and technology partners.
- Manage vendor performance, deliverable quality, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Lead discussions, negotiations, and escalation processes to resolve scope, timelines, technical challenges, or operational issues.
- Develop UAT strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product and Technology teams.
- Identify project risks, constraints, and gaps early propose mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Facilitate issue resolution across internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain accurate risk logs, issue trackers, and project documentation.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status updates, dashboards, and executive briefings.
- Ensure projects comply with governance processes, regulatory expectations, and internal audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation such as BRDs, project plans, meeting minutes, and RAID logs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in project management, ideally within fintech, financial services, trading platforms, exchanges, clearing or technology implementation.
- Proven experience managing vendors and cross-functional teams in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) with certification in relevant area.
- Hands-on experience planning and executing UAT cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of ownership, follow-through, and operational discipline.
- Possess excellent leadership skills to guide project teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
