With a strong commitment to safety, innovation, and excellence, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an Additions & Alterations (A&A) school project.
About the role
The Project Manager will oversee the full project cycle of an A&A school development, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion in accordance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing A&A or educational facility projects within a main contractor environment.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management
- Lead overall project planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordination of an A&A school development project.
- Develop and monitor project timelines, milestones, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Site Coordination & Execution
- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth coordination among subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Resolve technical issues promptly to avoid delays and ensure project requirements are met.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, architects, and authorities.
- Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports.
- Build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Cost, Quality & Safety Control
- Manage project budgets, cost control, and variation works.
- Ensure all works adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce safety protocols and participate in safety audits to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience with a main contractor, preferably handling A&A / institutional / school projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, authority submissions, and Singapore building regulations.
- Proven leadership and project coordination skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
