Our client is a Japan-based IT consulting firm specializing in system infrastructure and database security solutions. They are currently seeking a Project Management Officer (PMO) to support the delivery of IT projects within a banking systems environment.
【 Responsibilities 】
- Communicate with stakeholders at Bank Headquarters in Japan via email and online meetings
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to clarify and address project-related issues and requirements.
- Support the Project Manager in PMO activities, including preparation of project documentation, coordination of meetings, and facilitation of discussions.
- Support end-to-end project lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, user acceptance, training, documentation, and implementation, in accordance with established project management methodology.
- Support the understanding and documentation of business requirements, system architecture, and system design.
- Promote collaboration, transparency, and accountability across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
【 Requirements & Preferences 】
(Must)
- At least 4 - 5 years of experience as a Project Management Officer (PMO) or in a similar project coordination role within the IT industry.
- Experience supporting or coordinating multiple IT projects concurrently.
(Advantageous)
- Understanding of banking operations, including loans, deposits, accounting, customer information systems, and banking-related IT systems.
- Knowledge of financial products and payment systems, such as Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), derivatives (e.g. Interest Rate -Swaps and Cross Currency Swaps), bonds, FAST/GIRO, or MEPS+/cross-border payment systems.
- Experience working with Japanese companies, multinational projects, or global cross-functional teams.
