Job Description

Business Function:

Group Operations plays a critical role in enabling and empowering the bank by providing an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure. This is achieved through a strategic focus on enhancing productivity, maintaining high standards of quality and control, leveraging technology, building people capability, and fostering innovation. The department is responsible for managing the majority of the bank's operational processes and works closely with business partners through various banking delivery channels.

Job Purpose:

To provide comprehensive administrative and project management support to the Payment and Settlement Taskforce, ensuring the efficient execution of initiatives aimed at enhancing controls and optimising manual payment settlement processes. This role is critical in facilitating effective communication, tracking project progress, and preparing management updates to contribute to the overall success of the taskforce's objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

1) Seamlessly coordinate and schedule essential meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and prepared for productive discussions.

2) Meticulously track project actions, ensuring timely completion and escalating any potential roadblocks to keep our initiatives on track.

3) Take ownership of enhancing our project tracker, implementing best practices to provide clear, real-time visibility into project status and key milestones.

4) Develop and refine engaging management decks, effectively communicating project progress, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership.

5) To assist with any other ad-hoc reviews or tasks.

Requirements:

1) University degree with at least 2 years of experience working in financial institutions, in a project management capacity.

2) A highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

3) Proficiency in project management tools and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel).

4) A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.

5) Ability to work effectively in situations of ambiguity, demonstrating proactivity, a self-starter mentality, and a positive, can-do attitude.
