Project Engineer - Steel Fabrication & Installation

Core Responsibilities

• Site Management:
  Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring site work schedules to ensure supervisors and foremen meet client requirements, project timelines, and quality standards.

• Technical Documentation:
  Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOM), method statements, inspection checklists, and regular project progress/status reports.

• Design & Drafting( Good to Have):
  Utilize AutoCAD or similar drafting software to prepare and review shop drawings, ensuring compliance with BCA codes, project specifications, and engineering standards.

• Financial & Resource Monitoring:
  Support cost estimation for new project tenders and monitor budgets, material usage, and manpower allocation for ongoing projects.

• Quality & Safety Control:
  Supervise daily site activities including steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and alignment works while enforcing quality assurance procedures and site safety regulations.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

• Relevant site work experience in Singapore

• Possess BCSS or other relevant safety training certifications

• Good understanding of structural steel works and fabrication processes

• Strong knowledge of steel structure installation methods and site coordination

• Familiarity with local codes, standards, and safety practices is an advantage
