Understand the project execution strategy fully and ensure programme is on track and executed accordingly.
Setting the project or programme up for success by ensuring fit-for-purpose Project/Programme Management processes and standards and ensuring delivery excellence in all aspects of project delivery.
Manage and oversee day-to-day construction management of project
Monitor and report to Senior / Project Manager of project progress versus baseline, including issues and risks in a timely manner
Conduct VSCC and take charge of ship work safety and cleanliness
Liaise with trades on the activities and construction effort needed to achieve progress safely, within schedule and budget
Plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to support schedule and cost
Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented
Review man hours and duration forecasts to completion and resource requirements
Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance
Manage schedule, cost-to-completion (CTC) and POC together with Senior / Project Manager
Conduct progress meetings to manage issues
Responsible for planning, scheduling and costing
Support in project tender when called upon or any other adhoc project duties as required
Handle warranty issues
Manage customer expectations at site and maintain good customer relationships
