What you will do:
As a Project Engineer, you will support the end-to-end process of the project lifecycle.
You will support pre-sales activities, manage project cost and schedules, ensure solution performance, ensure seamless communications, client satisfaction, and compliance to safety and quality standards.
Job Description:
1) Pre-Sales Support:
. Conduct site surveys, design system solutions, and coordinate technical drawings/layouts.
. Assist the project manager to define scope, budget and schedule
. Create project schedules - review specifications, estimate time and manpower requirements, sequence tasks
. Ensure proposed solutions has technical feasibility and aligns with client requirements.
2) Cost & Quality Control:
. Manage and track project budgets, resources, and timelines.
. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the highest quality standards
. Ensure the sold solution performs as designed before handover.
3) Project Management:
. Comply with project milestone deliverables & strict datelines
. Oversee procurement lead time & delivery schedule
. Recommend actions based on design, site, or schedule changes.
. Regular Site Visits - Monitor and coordinate on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
. Create effective methods to track on-site project progress and regularly update schedules to keep all activities on track and within planned timelines.
4) Problem Solving
. Diagnose and resolve technical issues ASAP to minimize delays and cost.
. Follow-up for any defect rectification
5) Stakeholder Management:
. Primary contact for client escalations, between internal teams, and sub-contractors.
. Coordinate by assigning tasks (eg. To Quantity Surveyor, Site Managers)
. Meetings at work sites, job coordination, client/supplier meetings
6) Documentation:
. Prepare Pre-Work documents - MOS, technical drawings, a list of materials & equipment to be deployed, and safety documents like PTWs, RA, MEWP, etc
. Prepare Handover documents - Schematic Drawing, As-Built Drawing, Operation & Maintenance Manual, etc
. Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and changes.
7) Ad hoc duties as assigned
. Provide technical support and training to project staff and stakeholders.
. Share best practices to enhance the project efficiency.
Requirements:
. At least a Diploma in relevant fields.
. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
. Knowledge in Security System and ELV Systems e.g. PA system, CCTV system, Card Access, Structure Cabling, Electrical & etc.
. Familiar with AutoCAD.
. Able to manage project cycle independently with minimum supervision.
. Knowledge in designing system/solutions for ELV Security System.
. Able to independently manage multiple projectsCCTV SYSTEM
