Overview
A1 Main Contractor, is expanding their HSE team and is seeking a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager who is passionate about transitioning into a Safety career.
- This role is ideal for individuals with site experience who wish to move into safety management.
- Training and full safety course sponsorship (WSH track) will be provided for suitable candidates.
Transition into Safety Management
- Work closely with the Safety Manager to learn safety compliance, site inspections, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
Site Safety Support
- Assist in implementing the company's safety policies and Safe Work Procedures on site.
- Support coordination of toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety induction for workers.
- Participate in incident reporting, investigation support, and follow-up actions.
- Conduct regular site walk-throughs with senior safety staff to identify hazards and propose mitigation plans.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain safety records, permits, incident logs, and follow-up documentation.
- Assist in preparing safety reports for internal and external audits.
- Support the preparation for regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- 3-8 years of site experience as Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager
- Strong interest and passion to pursue a long-term career in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH).
- Candidates without prior safety experience are welcome - full training and course sponsorship will be provided.
