Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with strong precast construction experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise precast structural works, including precast columns, beams, Hollow Core Slabs (HCS), tie beams, pour strips, splice sleeves, and related RC works.
  • Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Coordinate closely with consultants, precast suppliers, subcontractors, site supervisors, and the project team.
  • Plan and monitor precast delivery, lifting, erection sequence, temporary stability, propping and installation works.
  • Ensure correct installation of props, temporary bracing, structural connections and grouting of splice sleeves.
  • Identify drawing discrepancies, site constraints, reinforcement congestion, openings and other constructability issues before installation.
  • Coordinate inspections with RE/RTO and consultants and ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications and inspection requirements.
  • Monitor site progress against the construction programme and resolve technical/site issues promptly.
  • Ensure all works comply with Singapore safety requirements, quality standards and project specifications.
  • Prepare progress updates, technical reports, inspection documentation and necessary site records.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience as a Project Engineer / Site Engineer in Singapore construction projects.
  • Hands-on precast construction experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with precast erection methodology, lifting operations, temporary stability, HCS installation, structural connections and grouting works.
  • Able to read and interpret structural drawings and coordinate effectively with consultants and subcontractors.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination and site-management skills.
  • Familiarity with BCA requirements, inspection procedures and Singapore construction practices will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned work fronts.

Preferred Experience

  • Candidates with experience in MOE, institutional, precast building or major structural projects in Singapore will be given preference.
