Responsibilities
- Coordinate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of project management, including drawing reviews and material submissions. Manage communication with Contractors and Authorities to address engineering and operational issues throughout project lifecycles. Oversee Contractor site deployment and schedule work activities to align with project timelines. Facilitate and process internal necessary applications and approvals for various operational procedures. Coordinate track access specifically for buffer areas, tunnels, and track works, and ensure adherence to access protocols for Contractors. Attend and witness on-site Testing & Commissioning activities. Lead and participate in meetings focusing on technical progress and issues with internal stakeholders and Contractors. Supervise and support the development of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers in their roles and deployment. Monitor and enforce Contractor compliance with safety protocols and project requirements. Review project progress reports and assist in the evaluation and management of claims. Conduct handover and takeover processes and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues during the defect liability period.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 4 years of experience in the railway industry or civil structural projects, or a Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline with more than 8 years of related experience. Proven technical skills in project management and civil/structural engineering within the rail industry. Exceptional multitasking abilities alongside strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to communicate effectively.
