Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer - OCR Installation to oversee and manage the installation of OCR and R-OCR systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering and relevant hands-on experience in OCR/R-OCR project implementations. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate effectively across departments, ensure compliance with project specifications, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality on-site.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- To lead the assigned team in the dedicated area and closely manage the productive taskforce in all areas where installation activities are ongoing.
- To participate in the preparation of the Method Statement for various equipment's installation.
- To implement the works in conformance with Working drawings and installation method statements.
- Communicate and coordinate with Site QA/QC Engineer/Inspector when works are ready for inspection.
- To establish, report and follow up all non-conformance reports.
- To enforce the relevant safety rules at site and make sure personal protective equipment is worn as and where required by the staff under their responsibility.
- To attend (whenever required) the co-ordination meetings organised by the relevant CWC and highlight possible slippage's and/or clashes with the station specific CIP's and /or CSD.
- To hold weekly meetings with the aim to define the necessary means to carry out the works planned to be performed during the coming week.
- Daily briefing with site team leaders (Supervisors) to follow-up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate a possible delay as regard to planned tasks.
- To take immediate corrective action to avoid any cumulative effect of such deviation and recover the delay to finish the task in due time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in OCR/R-OCR installation projects.
- Strong technical knowledge in OCR/R-OCR systems and related infrastructure.
- Familiarity with installation method statements and QA/QC procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
