Job Description
The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and liaising between contractors, clients, and stakeholders to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and review of project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements and specifications are met
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved, and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Manage and resolve issues, discrepancies, and conflicts arising during the construction process, including technical and site coordination matters
- Ensure works are carried out in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Identify, address, and rectify non-conformance and quality issues in collaboration with the project team
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, technical submissions, and progress reports
- Prepare and submit regular project status reports to management and stakeholders
- Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and assist in cost control to ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing timely project updates
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate communication among project stakeholders
- Utilize CAD software for the preparation and review of technical drawings and designs
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in CAD software
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Civil / Construction / Structural projects
- Good communication skills and strong sense of initiative
- Able to work 5.5 days per week (Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
