The ACMV Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems for construction projects. The role ensures that all works are completed according to project specifications, safety requirements, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare project schedules, manpower planning, and material procurement.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors.
- Supervise ACMV installation works on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with approved drawings and local regulations.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
- Monitor project progress and report any delays or issues to management.
- Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of ACMV systems.
- Prepare as-built drawings, operation manuals, and project handover documents.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health requirements.
- Verify subcontractor claims and supplier invoices.
Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in ACMV projects.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial building projects is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of ACMV systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, and ventilation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with Singapore standards, BCA requirements, and local codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Other Requirements:
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence (preferred).
- Willing to travel to project sites as required.
