Role
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects, including the preparation and alignment of technical drawings and documentation to meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable classification societys Wtandards, industry policies, and best practices across all project phases.
- Serve as the primary liaison with customers, accurately interpretingtheir technical needs and requirements, communicating them to workshop teamsand external contractors, and delivering regular status updates to management.
- Customize standard engine designs to fulfill specific customer specifications, performing detailed engineering calculations for power output, fuel efficiency, emissions compliance, and cooling system performance.
- Maintain project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating activities, resolving issues, preparing status reports, and overseeing material procurement, logistics, shipment, and receipt of parts and equipment.
- Manage engine shipment documentation and delivery schedules to guarantee timely, contract-compliant fulfillment.
- Deliver expert technical solutions and support to customers for installation, commissioning, and operational challenges.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager, including participation in industry conferences, exhibitions, and technical meetings.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients in the marine sector, providing specialized technical expertise and support throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
- Secure all necessary permits, regulatory approvals, and documentation required for regional sales and operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as PMP or Classification Society training will be highly regarded.
- At least 3 years of experience in marine engines and/or gensets, project or application engineering, or technical support roles in the maritime industry.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle technical and commercial projects, preferably involving shipyards, vessel owners, or OEMs.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
