Project Engineer

Responsibilities

The Project Engineer's scope shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Review project submissions (e.g. specifications, drawings, test procedures, method statements) and follow up with the project team to ensure compliance with project requirements

• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interface coordination, integration testing, rectification of defects, and handover activities to ensure work quality meets project requirements

• Coordinate with the project team, contractors, interfacing contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes, ensuring alignment with project requirements

• Monitor project schedules, track progress, and support reporting to ensure delivery aligns with the project timeline

• Attend project, coordination, and interface meetings to ensure project delivery remains on track

• Support overall project management activities to ensure timely and successful completion

Qualifications & Requirements

• Recognized diploma or degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline)

• Relevant project management experience, including:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, site installation, testing, and commissioning of rail E&M systems within Singapore's transit environment

  • Experience coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (e.g. railway or transit operators) for A&A works, system upgrades, or new system implementation at operational stations

  • Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system upgrades, relocation, or migration projects within a transit environment will be an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and design review tools such as AutoCAD, BIM, or similar software

• Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently

• Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts or engineering hours when required

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Willingness to travel regularly between office and project sites
