Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including optimal system design, on-site installation, testing and commissioning, quality control, and strict adherence to all regulatory and safety standards. Serves as the primary technical point of contact for all PV-related matters.
1. Engineering Design
. Lead system design and technical decision-making, demonstrating strong expertise in PV system design principles, specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
. Conduct site feasibility assessments, including shading analysis and system capacity/load calculations.
. Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems, preparing electrical single-line diagrams, module layouts, and structural layouts using AutoCAD.
. Optimise system performance, string configuration, and system sizing using tools such as FusionSolar, SolarEdge, and PVsyst.
. Prepare project costing sheets, bills of materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
. Continuously research, evaluate, and integrate new products, technologies, and best practices to enhance system performance and project efficiency.
2. Project Management
. Oversee the full project lifecycle, from a technical lens installation through testing and commissioning, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
. Attend and lead meetings with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities as required.
. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing guidance and support to the project team to minimise delays and risks.
3. Compliance & Documentation
. Support the preparation, submission, and follow-up of documentation for authority approvals and applications (e.g. SP, SCDF, BCA, URA, JTC, MCST, etc.).
. Assist to ensure accurate and complete project handover documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.
4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
. Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on PV-related matters.
. Monitor and report progress across multiple concurrent projects, providing regular (e.g. weekly) updates to internal and external stakeholders.
. Coordinate with clients, installers, and contractors to ensure alignment on schedules, scope, and technical requirements.
. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on technical queries and warranty claims.
. Provide after-sales technical support and deliver system operation and maintenance training to end users and customers
