- Study and interpret structural, architectural, and M&E drawings in detail, identifying coordination gaps, constructability concerns, and design clashes before work commences on site
- Develop method statements and work sequences for complex structural and architectural works, ensuring construction logic is sound, safe, and efficient
- Prepare and maintain short-term construction programmes tied to the master programme, identifying critical path activities and proposing recovery measures when milestones are at risk
- Coordinate with consultants and the design team on technical queries, managing the RFA/ RFI process to achieve timely and documented design decisions
- Identify technical challenges on site - whether related to ground conditions, structural interfaces, sequencing conflicts, or material constraints - and propose practical, engineered solutions rather than waiting for instructions
- Support the Project Manager in preparing and responding to technical submissions, including temporary works designs
- Actively participate in value engineering exercises during the pre-construction and construction phases, contributing ideas that reduce cost, improve buildability, or shorten the programme without compromising structural integrity, safety, or design intent
- Contribute to post-project reviews by documenting successful engineering solutions and lessons learned for application in future projects
- Ensure all temporary works - including falsework, formwork, shoring, and excavation support - are designed, checked, and approved by a competent person
- Participate actively in weekly safety inspections and toolbox meetings, reinforcing a culture where safety and quality are non-negotiable at every level of the team
