PROJECT ENGINEER

Flomek Singapore Private Limited is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Project Engineer to manage and support the execution of water treatment, wastewater, rotating equipment, pump systems, automation, and system integration projects, including PLC automation integration and PHP-based software support. The role focuses on engineering coordination, technical execution, automation and internal IT support, procurement, and project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely,on time, and in accordance with technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support and manage the execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, including mechanical, pumping, and automation systems.

Coordinate engineering activities from design review to commissioning and handover.

Review and interpret P&ID, BIM models, technical drawings, specifications, and vendor documents.

Coordinate erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of pumps, rotating equipment, piping, and mechanical systems.

Support PLC automation and control systems, including coordination with system integrators for PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation.

Assist in system integration between mechanical equipment, electrical systems, automation, and control panels.

Handle technical procurement, including equipment selection, vendor evaluation, technical clarification, and coordination with suppliers.

Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.

Prepare and maintain project documentation, including method statements, technical submissions, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.

Provide technical support during site activities and troubleshooting.

Utilize computer systems and engineering software for reporting, coordination, and documentation.

Support internal systems and basic IT-related tasks, including data management and system reporting tools

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Water & Wastewater Treatment Systems: Design understanding, installation, operation, and troubleshooting.

• Pumps & Rotating Equipment: Installation, testing, commissioning, and performance evaluation.

• Automation & PLC: Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC systems, instrumentation, control logic, and SCADA coordination.

• System Integration: Mechanical-electrical-automation coordination.

• Mechanical Engineering: Strong understanding of mechanical design, piping systems, P&ID, and technical specifications.

• Procurement Support: Technical evaluation, vendor coordination, and cost comparison.

• Computer & IT Skills:

  1. Strong computer proficiency

  2. Basic knowledge of PHP or software-based reporting/tools is an advantage

  3. Familiarity with digital project management and documentation systems

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline with the right technical background and hands-on experience in:
Programming / software development (PHP or similar technologies)
System integration, including water and wastewater treatment processes and operations
Internal IT and application support
Automation and PLC coordination
